When the TCHS Heliotech solar car team lined up at this year's national race, they brought more than four seats and a sun-powered drivetrain. They brought carbon fiber, peel ply, and resin donated by Sherfab, materials that became the structural backbone of their car.

The result: first place, and Heliotech's second national championship.

Sherfab donated a full set of composite materials to the team this season, supplies that went directly into building a lighter, stronger, more durable vehicle. According to the team, those materials made a real difference in the quality of nearly every component on the car.

"None of this would have happened without you," the team wrote in a note to Sherfab after the win.

Heliotech isn't stopping here. The team is already building toward the 2027 season with a new project: an advanced single-seater solar car. Sherfab's materials will be part of that build too, and we're looking forward to seeing where it takes them.
