Black Sanding Gel Coat (1 Gallon)

Application: Sanding primer gel coats are not intended to be used as a cosmetic finish. They should not be exposed to direct sunlight and water due to their poor exterior durability. Failure to comply with this warning will result in a rapid color and/or gloss degradation. It is formulated for spraying as supplied. It is strongly recommended that the material be mixed before use. Optimum application temperature is 65°F - 90°F (18°C - 32°C). Apply in several thin, overlapping passes rather than a single heavier coat; this will help avoid porosity, solvent entrapment, and sagging. The recommended wet film thickness is 18 - 25 mils (0.45 - 0.62 mm). Brushing is not recommended. To avoid surface defects in paint application, the surface of the sanding primer must be thoroughly cleaned and sanded smooth with 80–120 grit paper. Sanding dust particles must be blown off with clean compressed air and the surface cleaned with a solvent.

Storage and Handling: Sanding gelcoat should be stored in closed, opaque containers at temperatures above freezing but not exceeding 77ºF (25ºC). Do not keep gel coats near peroxide storage areas. To avoid decomposition keep away from direct sunlight and excess heat. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for details on safety and storage.
